3 Things to Look Forward to in the Transhumanist Future

Transhumanist belief states that humans have yet to reach their full potential. For as advanced as our lives and technologies might be now, transhumanist believers say that we've only just reached the infantile level of our true capacities. If you believe in the transhumanist concept, you might already know what lies ahead for us in the future. But if you're new to the concept, you might need a little more enlightening. Find out what the transhumanist future entails for all humankind by checking out these top things to expect.

1.    Longer Lives - They say that the reason why humans only live to a certain year average is because we haven't reached our full health potential and physical capacity. In the transhumanist future, it's believed that people will be able to surpass the estimated life expectancy by hundreds of years because we'll be able to devise ways to prevent disease. What's more, people will also be able to live longer lives because we'll be able to develop methods that stop aging. These days, evidence that we will be able to stop death in the future is through the development of stem cell research - the first step towards longer lives. 2.    Super Intelligent Robots - It's one thing to have robots, and another thing to have super intelligent robots. According to transhumanist believers and futurist speakers, robots will become significantly more intelligent and capable of human thought processes and responses. This means they'll be able to interact with us in ways that a normal human would, and would perhaps even be able to interact better than other humans. What's more, these robots are also expected to take on several jobs in society,
forcing humans to be more skilled and knowledgeable in order to hold a higher position in the workforce because lower occupations would be designated to robots.

3.    Lesser Population - The idea behind transhumanism states that people living in that kind of future world will lose their inherent desire to procreate, so population would cease to grow. Plus, because people no longer die, there will be a single population that continues to evolve through the years. Of course, these people can choose to create life when it's necessary, but otherwise, the same population will stay alive on the earth forever. That now leaves the question - will they continue to evolve or will the human race stagnate and remain the same because people of that generation no longer die?
